What makes Cigar & Spirits Magazine’s World Spirits Competition the most valuable competition in the world?
Each spirit is blind tasted and rated by category. The Top 3 spirits in each category will then be featured in the annual January/February “Best Of” issue of Cigar & Spirits Magazine, which is world renowned and distributed both nationally and internationally. 
Low Gap Bourbon Whiskey

The Fifty Best held a "blind" tasting of 41 bourbon whiskies with seventeen members of our spirits judging panel. Strict tasting rules were applied. The order of service was established beforehand by lottery. The judges wrote down their impressions of each product on score sheets. Double-Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded according to a set range of final point scores received from the judges. The tasting notes that follow are summaries of the judges’ opinions, with all replicated commentary eliminated. The states of origin, distilleries and alcohol proofs are identified for each brand.
